I just want to suggest ACCA - Australian Centre for Contemporary Arts on Sturt Street, Southbank.

They've got an exhibition called The Water Hole on - it's FREE to get in; I took my 4 and 5 year-olds and they loved it. It's a crazy magical garden - it intrigues them for hours, and there's a spot-the competition, an observation deck with binoculars and all sorts of interesting stuff.

It's open every day 10-5 (11-5 on public hols). Really worth while.
